The courts were decorated with Canada flags under clear blue, sunny skies. All 24 players and their supporters were arrayed in red and white. The enclosure was filled with delicious red and white foods and beverages. What a great way to begin the summer!
After 4 rounds of round robin play, Vera and Helen, Ron and Jacob earned the trip to the final round for the Red League. Congratulations to Ron and Jacob on a very close win in that set. For the White League it was Tony and Bill who played off against Eric and Joe. Congratulations to Tony and Bill in their final set. Many thanks to the Rosemary and the Social Committee for their amazing Strawberry Breakfast, to Dan, Vera and Tom for their excellent organization of the tournament play, and to Kat for her photos of day.
It was nice to see some new faces and have a great mix of ages come out to enjoy tennis.
